electromagnetic frequency
We live in what Kabir Helminski calls “an electromagnetic sea”. In his book, “Living Presence”, he introduces the concept that our bodies are actually ultra-sensitive receptors for the magnetic frequency waves all around us. It is what we experience in our daily lives. Our lives are affected by the level frequency at which we operate.
These frequencies, like radio waves, pulsate around us, in “hertz”. The SI unit hertz (Hz) was established in Heinrich Hertz’ honor by the IEC in 1930 for the basic unit of frequency in the International System of Units (SI), and is used worldwide in both general-purpose and scientific contexts. “Hertz”(Hz) can be used to measure any periodic event; the most common uses for hertz are to describe radio and audio frequencies, more or less sinusoidal contexts in which case a frequency of 1 Hz is equal to one cycle per second.(Wikipedia-Heinrich Hertz)
Consequently, our earth rotates and operates at a frequency of between 8-10Hz. This level of frequency is called an Alpha wave frequency. This is the level of natural occurrence. This state is similar to when you sit alone in a forest of redwoods. The Alpha state is the state we enter when we are “centered”, in our sitting, and meditative prayer times.
Beta wave frequency is the sped up, normative state of our human society, with speeding trains, planes and autos, text messages, cellular phones, Wall Street tickers, CNN, the internet, Television/Radio, the Media, and their influences on our lives. Beta states operate at over 10Hz ranging up to 25Hz, and higher. This is the speedy, noisy, interrupted state in which most of us spend the great portion of each day.
Then there is the state of sleep and deep meditation, known as the Theta state, which exists and pulsates at a level of 4-7 Hz. Our health and peace is enhanced when we spend more and more time in Alpha and Theta states. This makes sense when we consider the refreshment that comes from sleep.
The energy to operate at the higher, speedy frequencies, drains our psycho-spiritual peace. We need sleep, and we need contemplative, quiet times. It is part of how we are created.
There is much more to this…
