Busyness and business
I really do enjoy my day job these days.
I am involved in an industry that is undergoing a true transformation. The healthcare industry. The post acute care segment is stepping forward into the limelight, because of patient preference( do you want to go to the hospital today?), costs of care( ever gotten a hospital bill?), and the advance of technology.
At the root of this transformation is the focus of caring for infirm and dying patients who need very specific sensitivity and mercy. [Luckily for the patients, they don't have to look to me personally for that care!]
Most fortunately, I have been blessed by association with the most innovative software system in home health care at the present.
I have placed markers at several intervals during this busy time, and noted where I have perceived the supernatural in the midst of the new relationships, the meetings, the speaking engagements, the management meetings and decisions, the new hires, the company growth and profitability, and the interesting scenarios that emerge in the industry where new players do not receive the nicest, most welcoming responses from the competition.
As it keep my ear to the ground and seek wisdom as life progresses...my heart is noting several aspects of my life these days:

As it keep my ear to the ground and seek wisdom as life progresses...my heart is noting several aspects of my life these days:
- the continuing wisdom of the enneagram and how it shines light upon how interactions within my diverse work environment are shaped and defined...
- the function of the ego, and how success cases some egos to inflate beyond purportion to where the original personality is overwhelmed by egotistic grandiosity...this, and how to manage relationships that have changed due to success and the ego inflation of others with whom I work...
- the newfound presence of key individuals who have become very close associates and allies, and the joy and pleasure these others mean to my life and existence...
- the relationships Spirit has led me to cultivate and nourish, and those which have faded in their importance and influence...
- the importance of conscious, self examining discernment and innate heart wisdom...serving as guide and director.
- and remembrance...of my children...my grandchildren...
- my former church friends
- my spiritual partners with whom I once shared weekly life, and now I hardly ever can find time to visit...
- how day to day life kinds of things can change, fundamentally, and how my work life has changed...over and over and over...teaching me resiliency, and gratitude...
- my enneagram "three-ness"is very much a factor of my awareness...I realize what I "like" to do in life, and what I flee from dealing with...
The stream of reality continues to flow, and as I remain on the riverbed, looking up--I am able to view the thoughts and issues of my life as they float by overhead...and continually, I am learning to process, understand, and detach...they float on by, and my heart again returns to its rest.
Lord of life, thank you for including me in your world, and giving me the health and the intelligence to find my way.
Amen.
